IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR SON JOSEPH

Joseph was born on August 25, 1992. He was a happy, healthy boy with sparkling brown eyes. He loved to drive his Monster Truck, and ride his bike, but his passion was fishing. He has an older sister that he idolized. Joseph made our family complete.

  Joseph's Death

Joseph's death was caused by a design defect in our family conversion van. As far as we can tell, Joseph pushed the power button that controlled the rear sofa. The seat came down and pinned him so tight...that he could not breath. We did CPR and got his heart beating again. But the damage to his small body was too great. We took him off life support...and he went to be with Jesus on August 12, 1996. Two weeks before his fourth birthday.

  Our Hopes

We are in the process of suing the company that converted this van. Our hope in doing this is to make other people aware of the dangers of conversion vans. We don't want anyone else to suffer through what we have.

I recently met another mom that lost her son Alex in a very similiar way. Her name is Debi. I have included the link to Alex's website. Please visit his site and let his mom know you were there.

Debi and I are currently working with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. We are working to have a new standard set.......new laws to govern the conversion van industry. We are hoping for a recall.
